TrendTech is a carbon credit project developer leading the era of carbon neutral. From mangrove project to safe drinking water project, we implement carbon credit business based on scientific evidence and international standards. We place the highest value on sustainability, transparency, and innovation, working hand in hand with local communities to create a better future for our planet.
By developing carbon credit projects that address the climate change, TrendTech contributes to diverse environmental and social values, enhancing the sustainability of our planet.
We develop carbon projects that achieve transparent and reliable GHG reductions by complying with the standards and procedures set by global carbon market certification bodies such as Verra.
Through innovative approaches, we explore and create new project development opportunities and provide net-zero solutions for corporate clients with GHG reduction targets.
We restore the degraded marine ecosystem of our planet by planting carbon-rich mangroves along Cambodia’s coastal areas.
Cambodia is one of the countries in Asia with a large mangrove ecosystem. However, over the past 30 years, 42% of its total mangrove forests have been destroyed due to illegal logging, urbanization, and land conversion, 72% of which occurred in Koh Kong Province.
In response, TrendTech, in cooperation with General Department of Fisheries(GDoF) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and the Koh Kong Provincial Government, is implementing a mangrove afforestation and reforestation project in Koh Kong Province, Cambodia. The project will establish 553 hectares of mangrove forest across 7 Community Fisheries (CFis) in the region, absorbing approximately 2 million tCO₂ over 40 years.
This project not only restores the degraded marine ecosystems and fishery resources in Koh Kong through mangrove afforestation and reforestation but also provides diverse environmental and economic value to local communities by creating additional income opportunities through participation in project activities.
Cambodia’s piped water coverage is about 31.9%, and only 16.7% in rural areas, showing limited infrastructure compared to neighboring countries. In areas without piped water, people rely on ponds or groundwater and boil water due to poor quality. This leads to high use of fossil fuels and firewood, increasing carbon emissions and the risk of waterborne diseases.
To address this, Trendtech is implementing a water treatment project with Khmer Water Supply Holding (KWSH). The project will supply piped water to up to 16,000 households over 10 years through five treatment plants, reducing the use of non-renewable biomass and fossil fuels. It is expected to reduce about 34,800 tCO2 over the period, while also improving public health and quality of life by lowering disease risk and reducing time and costs for water access and boiling.
